» The Other Aria.
The wish for all Blare to 'disappear' comes from two different parts of Aria's heart: the Verse Maiden, which wishes for all the Blare to vanish so that humanity can be free, and the Blare part, who wishes to destroy all that there is. To wish for them to "disappear" is to wish that they no longer bother the world at large, and that extends to herself as well.
However "herself" means "The Aria that is a Blare". The old Aria is a different Aria, one who is energetic and hyperactive, though they are really the same person.
Aria's passive ability, which stems from the wish of the corrupted Aria to disappear, is the ability to regain her will and emotions - though this is far from perfect and not permanent. When overwhelmed or stressed, Aria regains the traits of her old self - with her emotions becoming more pronounced and even difficult to control.
When in possession of these traits, Aria cannot properly use her magic. It's like driving standard and switching to stick - the concepts are roughly the same, but the execution is different. Her ability to summoner her weapon, invisibility, and any other power will not function as they should.
»Invisibility.
This one is pretty straight forward. Aria wishing for all Blare to "disappear" extends to herself as well. Her idea of fixing the problem was to remove her presence from everyone and wait for things to resolve themselves by not taking action, but as that didn't really work, her death was the next best thing. The wish was made in the spirit of wishing to remove the problem from sight without hurting anyone, and thus, invisibility.
Aria's ability reduces her to being invisible whenever she feels overwhelmed, insecure, or unhappy. It is not an ability she can fully control and only extends to her physical form - clothing she wears (outside of her Magical Girl form) does not disappear with her. Holding this invisibility for any more than fifteen minutes is also a massive drain on her soulgem. In time she can master the ability and become invisible at will, but until that time comes it's tied to her emotions.
